ARISTOCRAFT
Winter of 1944. The snow falls silently, covering the earth with haste. The night has wrapped everything in its veil, and the moon futilely attempts to tear through the darkness. In the small mountain village, the hearths are burning, and the logs crackle with sparks.
In the home of Giorgos Karamitros, there is a sense of restlessness. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the baby, who is taking its time. Down in the cellar, Giorgis waits for the news. His hand passes over the barrels, feeling the tsipouro that has been waiting patiently...
The cry of the baby echoes loudly, almost startling him. The door opens, and a smiling face appears. "May it live long, Mr. Giorgis! A boy!"
A tear rolls down his weathered face, his trembling hands found and offered congratulations. The door closes, and the barrel with the tsipouro opens... The glass is filled, and raised toward the sky. "May you live as long as the high mountains, my son!" he says, taking a large sip...
A unique distillate made from the pomace of the Black Messenicola variety, which thrives exclusively in the viticultural zone of Messenicola, Karditsa. It ages in French oak barrels for three years and is bottled in a limited number of bottles.
The aging process gives this already excellent tsipouro fine aromas and a pronounced aftertaste.
It is enjoyed neat at a low temperature in a glass specifically designed for distillates as a digestif. It can also serve as the base for many cocktails.
